Netherbury cum Salway Ash War Memorial

War memorial circa 1920


Netherbury Parish Council has recently commissioned the restoration of the Netherbury cum Salway Ash War Memorial. 

The war memorial was erected c1920 to commemorate twenty five residents of Netherbury Parish who died as a result of the conflict in the First World War.  A further inscription was added following the Second World War to commemorate five residents who lost their lives.

Fingerpost Project

Netherbury Parish Council has been involved in the restoration of the white fingerpost signs in conjunction with Dorset's AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) team which advises on how to restore the signs to their former glory. The physical work has been done by villagers and councillors.
